MARIJUANAREVIEWS.COM: Jollee From Santa Cruz Patients Collective (SantaCruzMts)

'Overall: I love it. I want to always be able to go to the freezer and grab a chunk of this stuff. I say freezer because that is where you keep it. It will turn to oil in the baggy in a warm environment. If you freeze it again it will turn hard as glass.

I smoked it in my Jerome Baker 2 foot water pipe on top of a hit of homegrown Maco Haze. Broke off the tiniest little piece, melted it on top of the Maco Haze and BAM I was "Jollee" like good ole Saint Nick himself.

They told me patients come from all over California to go to the SCPC just for this particular medicine. Now I know why! – SantaCruzMts'

Budtenders

'Here's a job title that didn't exist around here a couple of years ago: budtender.

That would be the person helping a medical marijuana patient select the proper strain to treat his or her ailment. It's a job that requires a mix of mundane skills such using a cash register and making change, a little science nerdism to talk about the brain's cannabinoid receptors and the like, a familiarity with terms such as "couch lock" (since stoner descriptives can creep into a serious medical discussion), a passing knowledge of agronomy to explain hybrid strains, empathy, good communications skills, and generally -- assuming the budtender has a medical marijuana card -- some firsthand knowledge.'

Drug War Victim: Esequiel Hernandez

MPP: Esequiel Hernandez

'On May 20, 1997, 18-year-old Esequiel Hernandez came home from school and hiked onto his family's isolated property on the Texas-Mexico border to graze his herd of 45 goats. Hernandez, a high-school student with no criminal record, dreamt of becoming a U.S. Marine or park ranger. Like most of the other residents of tiny Redford, Texas, Hernandez frequently carried a gun, occasionally firing it into the air to scare off animals that bothered his goats.'
