Michigan Police Are Ignoring Medical Marijuana Law

THE WEED BLOG: Michigan Police Are Ignoring Medical Marijuana Law

'A trend is growing in the State of Michigan; police are arresting patients, confiscating their property, and turning their lives upside down, despite the fact that the patients are legally registered in the State of Michigan’s medical marijuana program.'

  1. The drug wars over the last 50 years has slowly created an "drug enforcement cartel" that has gained in strength and attitude. We now live in a police state where it is the enforcement cartels that can ignore whatever law they want to. We the people have granted them this power to pull us over at anytime, bust our doors down whenever, fine us, jail us, force us into rehab and, on occasion, take our children from us...all because we use marijuana instead of alcohol. As a responsible adult I want the freedom to choose and not be "mothered" and told what I can eat, smoke or drink. In no uncertain terms we need to tell Washington and our States to back off. We are dangerously close to becoming Amerika.
“Our nation can acknowledge the dangers of cigarettes, alcohol and marijuana while still permitting their use. The only logically and morally consistent argument for marijuana prohibition necessitates the criminalization of all harmful recreational drugs, including alcohol, nicotine and caffeine. We can agree that such an infringement on personal freedoms is as impractical as it is un-American. The time has come to accept that our nation's attitude toward marijuana has been misguided for generations and that the only rational approach to cannabis is to legalize, regulate and tax it.”
